"Chip shortage" in Southeast Asia may further intensify.
Southeast Asia is the world's major semiconductor chip packaging and testing center, accounting for 27% of the overall market. Among them, Malaysia, the world's seventh largest semiconductor export center, has begun on the 1st of this month, announcing the implementation of a "comprehensive blockade" nationwide, suspending economic and social activities, and opening only necessary economic and service sectors.
Domestic semiconductor companies usher in opportunities.
At present, the "core shortage" problem has become increasingly serious, and it is gradually spreading from the fields of automobiles and electronic products to other industries. The sensor chips required for home appliances are not currently out of stock, but there is a trend of price increases.
Such a market environment may bring opportunities to domestic semiconductor companies
In the first quarter of this year, with the goal of increasing domestically-produced production, the demand for packaging such as automotive chips, memory, 5G base stations and panel driver ICs in China has risen sharply.
