Electrostatic hazards in the production of LED display screen

When semiconductor devices are placed separately or installed into the circuit, even if they are not powered on, they may be permanently damaged due to static electricity. As we all know, LED is a semiconductor product. If the voltage between two or more pins of LED exceeds the breakdown strength of component medium, the component will be damaged. The thinner the oxide layer, the more sensitive the LED and driving IC are to static electricity. For example, the solder is not full, the solder itself has quality problems, and so on, which will produce serious leakage paths, resulting in devastating damage.

Another fault is caused when the temperature of the node exceeds the melting point of semiconductor silicon (1415 ). The pulse energy of static electricity can generate local heating, so there is a fault of direct breakdown of lamp tube and IC. This fault occurs even if the voltage is lower than the breakdown voltage of the medium. A typical example is that led is a diode composed of PN junction. The breakdown between emitter and base will sharply reduce the current gain. After the LED itself or various ICs in the driving circuit are affected by static electricity, functional damage may not occur immediately. These potentially damaged components usually show up in the process of use, so the impact on the service life of the display screen is fatal.
